Her son Alfie was born with a rare form of genetic epilepsy. He suffered his first seizure at 8 months old and his condition progressively worsened. In 2016, at the age of 5, he was admitted to hospital 48 times as a result of being unresponsive to anti-epilepsy drugs and was receiving up to 25 doses of steroids a month. But Hannah Deacon of the UK was desperate to save her son and went to the Netherlands to try Cannabis oil—and it worked. Alfie has been seizure free for almost 3 years.
