THC Gave Me A New Life
Mar 30, 2024I am Buz L. 72 years Young! Living in North Florida using Cannabis as my medicine for 6 years.
Conditions and symptoms I treat with Cannabis are wide-ranging
Stemming from a history of multiple back surgeries due to childhood accidents—breaking three vertebrae in my neck at age 6 and three more in my lower back at 21.
My journey has been intertwined with challenges including anxiety, persistent leg pain, disrupted sleep patterns, and even congestive heart failure. Cannabis has been a benefit for all.
I was lucky enough...
I ran into a gentleman who knew Debi Wimberley and a young man who lived in North Florida and understood the medical benefits of Cannabis. Debi instructed on LESS IS Best, and the young man in North Florida guided me to the studies of all the wonderful benefits of the different Terpenes in Cannabis.
Meeting Debi prior to a pending major back surgery for a ruptured disc was a game changer. When I asked the doctor what if I chose not to go with surgery, he said, “The disc will fuse eventually; surgery just speeds it up.” I decided to forgo the recommended surgery and started my journey with Cannabis to manage the pain. How my body has responded and repaired, I am living, and no longer in pain.
I have taken the approach that the stigma around Cannabis
Is in the eyes of the uneducated and I am doing my best to educate the masses on the benefits of Cannabis!!!! I share what I have learned and experienced and probably say Debi’s name five times a day.
We can only hope as we age that our kids can be taught they have an Endocannabinoid System and the benefits of Cannabis as medicine.
I found that THC with relaxing and sedating properties provided the best relief for pain and sleep
I used the heavier THC vapes in the beginning when I had a ruptured disc to manage the bone pain. Later, I transitioned to the Mighty vaporizer with leaf (flower) set at 406°F. For the past 2 1/2 years, I have relied on a 5mg THC bedtime gummy, supplemented by a 2.5mg dose at noon to maintain a balance between pain and anxiety. Rarely do I need a puff or two from a high-THC Vape.
My doctor tells me to “Keep doing what you are doing and don’t come back for a year”
I no longer need follow-ups with my cardiologist every three or six months. The orthopedic doctor says the ruptured disc is fused, which validates that I made the right decision.
With Cannabis I no longer have the need for alcohol to try and manage my pain. Reducing the pain and being able to move around allows me to be more active resulting in weight loss.
After my six-year journey with Cannabis, I am only limited by my 72 years of use on this body. It’s like I am reborn. I can work harder today than I did when I was in my 20s.
