In this episode, Steph and Stacy talk about how they met at a retreat by ReThink Breast Cancer, an organization that supports young breast cancer survivors. They connected thanks to the ability to have a conversation about medical Cannabis. They walk us through their journey to learning about the issues they faced while accessing medical Cannabis as young breast cancer patients.

Stacy and Steph discuss recreational Cannabis versus medical Cannabis and get real about some facts. They dive into the world of breast cancer and oncology, mindset as cancer patients, and advocating for our own health. They discuss their personal use of medical Cannabis and naturopathic care, focusing on the personalized experience as a patient. They discuss their own medications and possible drug-drug interactions, as well as why they titled the podcast “A Tincture of Time”.

Learn more about their roles in the creation of EduCanNation, a nonprofit organization that supports Cannabis educators in Canada. They discuss alcohol briefly and how it is contraindicated for cancer patients. Steph and Stacy have increased their quality of life after breast cancer treatment with plant medicine! Find out how!

About the Hosts:

Stacy and Steph share their story of accessing medical Cannabis as breast cancer patients. As co-founders of EduCanNation, a Canadian nonprofit organization that provides evidence-based Cannabis education and supports Certified Cannabis Educators, Steph and Stacy share the knowledge they have learned as Certified Cannabis Educators to help advocate for the patient and the plant. Their stories of staying positive and hopeful despite the hardship of a breast cancer diagnosis help to remind us that we are always stronger than we think we are.
