About Jay Jay O'Brien:

Jay Jay O’Brien has always had Cannabis in her life—but cancer? That was an unexpected plot twist. At 43, she got the kind of news no one wants: Stage 4 NSCLC. But instead of accepting the grim statistics, she ripped up the script and rewrote her own story. Her Herbalist roots and a deep belief in the body’s ability to heal led her back to an old friend—Cannabis.

Fast forward over five years, and past three lung tumors, 19 brain tumors, and a so-called “terminal” diagnosis, and Jay Jay is thriving. As a Lead Cancer Coach & Executive Co-Chair of
EduCanNation, she’s on a mission to demystify Cannabis medicine and help others reclaim their health.

She’s also the author of High Hopes for Healing: Stigma-Free Education on Thriving Through Cancer with Cannabis and a content creator for the Effective Cannabis Newsletter, where she shares knowledge, breaks through stigma, and keeps the conversation rolling.

When she’s not writing, coaching, or talking about Cannabis, you’ll find her outside—kayaking, hiking, or in the garden with her plants soaking in nature’s good vibes.
